Sierra Leone full back, Mustapha Dumbuya, together with teammates Roy Carroll and Michael Petrasso, are set to miss the League One clash against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
The full back will be out of the Magpies squad due to international duty and the trio’s absence is seen as a boost for Coventry.
Mustapha Dumbuya was named in the squad for Sierra Leone that will face Ivory Coast on November 15 and Congo DR on the 19th in an African Cup of Nations qualifier, whilst former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll and former City loan star Michael Petrasso will be on international assignment in Europe.
The Magpies will be without three key players for the Ricoh Arena clash on November 15 and would have attempted to get the fixture postponed, which clubs can do if they have three players missing on international duty, but Petrasso’s call-up for Canada Under-20s doesn’t count because he’s on loan from QPR.
The pacy winger will face England on November 12 at Bournemouth’s Goldsands Stadium before travelling to Spain to face Russia on the 15th and USA on the 18th.
Goalkeeper Carroll, meanwhile, has again been called-up by Northern Ireland for their forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifying match away to Romania on November 14.
