Head of Human Resource and Senior Sales Manager of DSTV, Melisa Smith, has disclosed that Transnational Sierra Leone Limited -authorised agent for MultiChoice Africa – has introduced their compact bundle with High Definition zapper plus dish, free installation and two months subscriptions for just Le650, 000.

The promotion, which was launched recently in Freetown, is aimed at bringing the world’s biggest sporting competition – the FIFA World Cup finals – currently playing in Russia to the door step of Sierra Leoneans at the cheapest rate ever.

Ms. Smith said the package has twenty radio stations and 97 channels that show the World Cup matches, plus educative channels for children.

She added that after the free two months, the normal subscription for compact will be Le226, 000.

“DSTV is now reasonable more than ever before. We want to bring Russia to the door steps of every Sierra Leonean. We are encouraging everyone to join us. Your TV viewing experience will change forever,” she said.

She explained further that besides the compact, they have other packages including Access, which has over 57 channels; Family with 68 channels; Compact Plus with over 105 channels; and Premium with over 118 channels.

According to her, the promotion was triggered by a research they did which indicated that people thought DStv was for the rich, but on the contrary, the service was for everybody, hence the reason for the promotion.

Transnational, she added, has the sole right to sell MultiChoice products in Sierra Leone and that any other box coming to Sierra Leone from Nigeria was illegal.

“I am encouraging all to try to come on-board if you did not join the MultiChoice family yet. This is an opportunity for you,” she said.

Nelson Nim-Dixon, Sales lead at DSTV, stated that the Explorer package which would allow users to record, rewind, pause live TV for up to two hours would be going for Le1,000,000 as the Higher Definition for one to catch-up even after they miss a programme.

Dixon also called on customers to download the DSTV App and watch live matches on phones, Ipads and computers.
