In a bid to promoting  education, the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) Member of Parliament representing Constituency 101, has together with the Valiant Sisters, supported thirty-two pupils with learning materials worth millions of Leones.

Speaking to a cross section of beneficiaries, parents and teachers at the S.L.M.B primary school, Hon. Abdul Salam Kamara, said his passion and priority was to promote education in his constituency.

He said a call made by the Valiant Sisters to provide them with educational support for less privilege pupils was timely, which was why he responded immediately.

He commended teachers of the two community schools for assisting pupils to perform well in both internal and public exams even though they are in dire need of furniture.

“I have seen many organizations in some communities going out on outings or partying, instead of catering for those that cannot afford. Valliant Sisters have been giving out support to children in dire need of help. The courage I have seen in these ladies show that they are women of substance,” he said.

Hon. Kamara urged the organization to continue supporting the community as Sierra Leone is a small nation that needs the support of each other.

Chairperson of Valiant Sisters, Adama Koroma, said the purpose of establishing such an organization is to support less privilege kids and the aged because they are the most vulnerable groups in all communities.

“We did not create this organization for pleasure or money making but rather to support our kids and the aged in the community,” she and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items by doing well in school.

She commended the MP for coming to their aid at a time they needed it most and called on others for assistance to do more.
