Cocaine Trial: gardener makes twenty-sixth appearance

Thirty-one-year-old gardener, Joseph Kargbo, made his twenty-fifth appearance before Magistrate Albert Moody, presiding at the Freetown Magistrates’ Court No.1, on allegation of dealing in prohibited drugs, contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

Abou Bakarr Binneh Kamara (now Judge), who was then presiding at the Siaka Steven Street Magistrates’ Court No.1.

He is standing trail on two counts of dealing in prohibited drugs and unlawful possession of prohibited drugs contrary to Section 7 (C) of the National Drugs Control Act of 2008.

Law enforcement officers allege that the accused was found dealing in prohibited drugs, identified as six wraps of cocaine, at Aberdeen Road on Saturday, 14 January, 2017.

The accused person had already been granted bail on the recognizance of two sureties.

The matter was prosecuted by Assistance Superintendence of Police Samuel Kamara.

The matter continues.
