Head coach of Port Vale, Rob Page, has confirmed that there are several clubs queuing to sign Sierra Leone international full-back, Aziz Deen-Conteh on loan.
The English League One boss confirmed that there have been a lot of loan offers arriving for Deen-Conteh though he refused to name the clubs.
Page told The Sentinel: “We have had a couple of inquiries about Aziz. I am not going to name the teams at the moment but what is encouraging is we are not the only ones who see potential in him. There are teams prepared to take him straight away, which is great for the lad and great for us.”
Port Vale recently confirmed the signing of the former Chelsea defender on a two-year deal which runs until 2017.
The 21-year-old, who usually plays at left back, was a former England youth international who had played for the Three Lions at under-16 and under-19 level.
The youngster was registered as part of Chelsea’s 2012/13 UEFA Champions League squad but did not feature in the competition.
He spent last season at Greek side FC Ergotelis, making seven appearances in the Super League where he signed a two-year deal.
In 2003, he chose to make himself eligible for Sierra Leone – his country of birth – rather than the chance he may have to play for England, where he has lived most of his life.
