Clergy in court for alleged wounding

35-year- old Pastor, Joseph  Abu Marsh, who has made several appearances before Magistrate Mark Ngegba at the Pademba Road Court No.1 was in court for wounding.

The accused is before the court on two count charges of wounding, contrary to Section 20 of the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861, assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Persons’ Act of 1861.

Police prosecutor, Sergeant 9115 McCarthy alleges that the accused on Wednesday 8th April at No.1 Regent Road Lumley in Freetown, he maliciously wounded Elvis Daniel Morgan.

However, the prosecution has closed their case in respect of the matter while the defense will open their case on the next adjourned date.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Ngegba adjourned the matter to the 2nd February 2021 for further hearing.

The accused person is on bail.
