Boxers ready for punch-for-punch battle

Boxers going blows for blows in Freetown

The long wait is over as boxers will go face-to-face and punch-for-punch on Friday 13th July, for the Sierra Leone Boxing Association Punch Night Championship at the Siaka Stevens Atlantic hall in Freetown.

Already, the stage is set for the championship that is expected to feature highly talented and experienced fighters.

In the 69kg fighter, Ansu Coker, will be up against Samuel Cho Kamara in an already high tension fight that has been predicted to be the fight of the night.

Another mouthwatering battle is the 63kg contest between Omotayo Oldfield and Sorie Sesay. Oldfield will go to the rim with a bit of experience, having fought 32 times locally as opposed to Sorie Sesay who has only fought twice with one defeat.

In the 60kg battle, young prodigy, John Brown, will take on Tamba Sorgbor, while Alusine Elba will battle against Daniel Alpha in the 57kg.

Debutant, Bani Forster will have to settle thing out against an experience Ibrahim Biankoe in the 72kg and the former is having thirteen fights under his belt with only a defeat. The all debutant clash will be Mustapha Bangura and Ibrahim Sesay.
