Bike rider sexually abused 3 minors

Three victims of sexual penetration have narrated before Magistrate Abdul Sheriff presiding at the Pademba Road Court No.3, how they were sexually molested by a 34-year-old commercial bike rider.

Abu Bakarr Gbla is preliminarily being investigated on one count of sexual penetration of a child country to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act of 2012.

The prosecution alleges that the accused on diverse dates between 1st January and December, 31st 2018, in Freetown, sexually abused the three victims under the age of eighteen years to wit ten years.

One of the victims told the court in her evidence in chief that she and the other victims knew the accused as their neighbor, and that one day after school the accused went with a motor bike and pillion them to his residence.

She said when they arrived at the accused person’s residence, he asked them to enter into the room, where he commanded them to take off their dresses and penetrated them one after the other.

She said after the intercourse, he gave each of them Le2, 000 ($0.21 USD) and threatened to harm them if they disclose the encounter to anyone.

She said on their way home, she told the other victims that she would disclose it to her mother, but one of them advised her not to do so.

She said the accused continuously abused them several times, stating a that after her mother died and she was adopted by a certain woman, who at some point advised her not to allow any man to touch her sexually.

She said that was the time she explained her ordeal to her adopted mum, and that she was later able to identify the accused and the matter was reported to the police where she made statement.

Meanwhile, similar evidence was also led by the other victims.
