Sierra Leone’s beach volleyball male and female teams on Tuesday April 14 departed the country’s shores to compete in the 2015 All Africa Games qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal.
A six-man delegation which includes four players (two males and two females) and two officials, travelled via Conakry, Guinea to Dakar where the tournament will be hosted.
Sierra Leone goes into the competition as the highest ranked team in the zone and will be up against the tournament host Senegal, Gambia and Guinea.
Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Association, Ahmed Khanou, will be the tournament’s supervisor.
The Sierra Leone delegation includes Sorie Kamara (Beach Volleyball Director), Mohamed Benson Bawoh (referee), Patrick Lombi and Abu Bakarr Kamara (male players), Zainab Kamara and Josephine Sesay (female players).
