The Sierra Leone National Beach Volleyball team will compete against 11 others for a place in the African Volleyball Federation (CAVB) Men’s Nations Cup.
The 12 participating nations – Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Rwanda, Burundi, Gambia, Kenya, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Angola, Mozambique, and Egypt – were made known after the CAVB announced Tunisia as the host nation for the tournament.
According to a statement from African volleyball authorities, the decision for Tunisia to host the tournament was taken Friday, 12 February during a CAVB meeting held in Yaoundé, Cameroun.
The tournament will run from 3 to 9 March, with the eventual champions securing automatic qualification to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, while the runners-up and third place teams will take part in another pre-Olympic tournament scheduled for May.
