Atlantic beach volleyball series climax

Sierra Leone national beach volleyball duo; Patrick Lombi and Abu Bakar Kamara continued their dominance on the sand as they scooped the 2nd edition of the Atlantic Beach Volleyball series on Sunday at the Lakka beach.

The duo showed again why they were the true pair to represent the country and Africa in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

With prize money ranging from Le 600, 000 for the champions, Lombi and Kamara dubbed as Team Director walked away with the title while Team ABK duo of Ishmeal Bangura and Ibrahim John Kamara finished second.

Team Raty which included both Mohamed Kamara and Zackaria Kamara finished third whiles the Guinean team 1 settled for fourth place.

In the female category, it was Isatu Bah and Barnadett Fofanah of Team Ahmed Khanou who won the title and Team UDK which includes duo of Maria Fofanah and Binta Bah settled for second place while the Guinean team finished in third place.

The two days competition attracted mammoth of crowds within the Lakka Village and also the president of Commonwealth Games Federation in Sierra Leone, Dr.  Patrick Coker.
