Juuly 3, 2017 By Memunatu Bangura

Inspector S. Conteh has informed Magistrate Albert Moody of Freetown court No.2 that another suspect has been arrested in relation to an alleged murder of one Mohamed Kabba Kargbo at Metchem, Goderich.

He pleaded with the Bench to adjourn the matter because the suspect was yet to be charged and brought before the court to join the other accused persons, who were already before the court.

“The accused persons were standing trial for conspiracy and murder and another suspect has been arrested that will help the matter to progress speedily,” he said.

Inspector S. Conteh assured the magistrate that the suspect would be charged and brought to court within the shortest possible time.

The five accused persons- Sylvester Fonnie, Alusine Koroma, David Cole, Sheik Mohamed Koroma and Lovetta Cole, were charged with two counts of conspiracy and murder contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

The prosecution alleges that the accused persons on a date between 6th and 9th at Metchem, Goderich, conspired to commit a felony to wit murder.

The prosecution said the accused persons on the same date at Metchem, Goderich, murdered one Mohamed Kabba Kargbo.

The matter was prosecuted by inspector S. Conteh while lawyer Hannah I. Ahmed, A. Conteh and M.Y. Kanu defended the accused persons.

The matter was adjourned 5th July, 2017.
