A total of 22 male teams and eight female have secured qualification from the preliminary round of the Airtel Rising Stars Season IV tournament, which is being played in over five venues across the country.
The qualified teams will today undergo arbitration for the regional tournament which will see qualifiers emerge to the national category to get the final contenders.
The 22 qualified male teams are: FC Jallon Junior, Real Mack, Kingtom Barrack FC, College Rovers, Kissy Stars FC, Ferry Stars FC, Malcom FC, Luawa FC, Foday Boi FC, Barcelona FC, Pizzo FC, AM Sow FC, Ibrahim FC, St. Lewis Rangers, DV United FC, Western Eagles FC, Delicious FC, Peninsular FC, Peninsular All Stars, Real Friends, Liverpool FC, Rural FC and Soccer Raiders.
The female qualifiers are: Rural Queens, Palmer FC, Mamoud FC, Youn Stars, Soccer Queens, Lama FC, Med FC and Kingtom Queens.
This year’s ARS is expected to attract over 500 talents in 149 chiefdoms in the country and Airtel Managing Director, Sudipto Chowdhury said four keys strategies – Massification, Inclusion, Sustainability and Celebration – will be engaged this year’s tournament.
