Interim Committee of Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) has yesterday mentioned in a press briefing that the party would be holding its convention in July this year.

The committee also confirmed that it has reinstated the party’s erstwhile Deputy Leader and Chairman, Ibrahima Soumah (Brima Togo).

The Committee further called on all members that have resigned from the party for one reason or the other, to come onboard in a bid to make the ‘ADP a formidable force to reckon with.’

George A. Macaulay, Head of the Caretaker Committee explained that among list of members that have expressed interest to lead the party is the former deputy leader, Ibrahima Soumah (Brima Togo), and that the door is open for all members that want to contest for any position during the party’s convention in July this year.

Macaulay said the ADP is not prepared and will not be a surrogate to any other political party “but prepared to execute its programmes in the interest of the people of Sierra Leone and thereby contributing meaningfully towards national development.”

He also mentioned that the party will soon engage in a massive farming project themed “Operation feed the nation – Grow what we eat and eat what we grow.”

“The ADP has started demonstrating meaningful contributions towards national development among its leadership in the person of Ibrahima Soumah (Brima Togo),” he pointed.

He highlighted the construction of paved roads in Freetown, construction of borehole water wells in Lunsar and the building of a twelve classrooms schools in Mamamah among other things that has been done by the party through Brima Togo.
