Popular opposition politician cum philanthropist, Sheik Mohamed Kamara alias Jagaban, through the Jagaban Movement, on July 29th made a cash donation of fifty thousand (NLe50,000) new Leones to the Moeba Community as a fulfilment of a pledge to help the community with better road network.
The donation ceremony was held at the Grace Community High School in the present of community stakeholders.
Team Lead for Jagaban Movement,Mr. Kallon presented the sum of NL50,000 in cash to the Moeba Community for them to kick-start their road construction project.
Kallon thanked the Moeba Community stakeholders for the warm welcome and also advised the community people to continue to support Sheik Mohamed Kamara in their own ways.
He explained the aim and objectives of Sheik Mohamed Kamara Movement and how he started his charity work before going into national politics.
Chairperson of the ceremony, Mr. Alimamy highlighted the constraints the community is facing, including poor road network, high youth unemployment, lack of tap water and poor public toilet facility.
After receiving the cash donation, community stakeholders thanked Sheik Mohamed Kamara and Team Jagaban for their kind gesture to the community and also prayed for them and their families.
The community chairman, Mr. Alimamy promised that the money will be used for the rightful purpose.
He thanked Abass, a community member, who facilitated the relationship with the Jagaban movement to support Moeba Community.
In his closing remarks, the Community Chief, Pa Alimamy, thanked Sheik Mohamed Kamara for his support towards Moeba Community and assured that the money will be used for the intended purpose.
He called on the youth to continue their hard-work as they are working towards developing the road after the rainy season.
