Herbalist Jailed for alleged killing of FBC lecturer

 34-year-old Ibrahim Kalokoh, a herbalist, made his first appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngeba of the Court No:1 at Pademba Road in Freetown and was remanded to the Male Correctional Centre on  Pademba Road for murder.

 Santigie Kabba Bangura, a lecturer at FBC Geography Department, who was missing for some months, was later found dead and buried in the house of the said herbalist.

The accused is standing trial on one count charge of murder, contrary to section to laws of Sierra Leone.

It was alleged that on a diverse date from  6th March 2023, at Shebro Town in Waterloo, murdered one Kabba Santigie Bangura, a lecturer at the Fourah Bay College.

In the last adjourned date the accused admitted that he killed the deceased for Le400.

He said one Michael Simbo working at the Immigration Department and the deceased’s 2nd wife, brought the deceased for ritual sacrifice.

He  added that the Michael Simbo bribed his way out of police custody and walking free while he is behind bars.

The state prosecutor led in Pw1 to testify in court to form part of the court records and evidences.

Adekali Bangura, brother of the deceased, recognized Pw1 as the first wife of his brother.

He recalled on the above said date when pw1 called him about the deceased missing. 

The Magistrate was having constraints with the witness, and  he  adjourned the matter to the 19 June 2023 for further hearings.
