Sierra Leonean striker, Mohammed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura has been linked with a big money move to the richest Iranian football club, Persepolis FC.

The striker, who is currently a free agent after he recently terminated his contract with Turkish newly promoted side Istanbul BB, is currently in Sweden undergoing rehabilitation from a knee surgery.

According to Swedish online newspaper Expressen, the striker – who currently trains with Swedish division one club Huddinge – has been linked with several clubs in Sweden and the mega-rich Iranian club, which was once coached by former England manager, Sven Goran Erickson.

Bangura’s Swedish agent, Patrick Mork, refused to comment on the move but admitted that there are several interests for his client from different clubs in different countries.

Mork told Expressen: “I cannot comment on specific clubs but there is interest in Mohamed from different clubs in different countries.”

The former FC Kallon striker was a success during the 2010 season with AIK before he later joined Celtic in Scotland where he only played 11 games for the club in three years. He was loan out to both Elfsborg and AIK in Sweden.
