Ten years old sister of Khadijatu Madinatu Saccoh, who was allegedly sexually abused and murdered, has testified that the second accused, Ibrahim Bah, had once sexually penetrated her with his finger.
Mariama Sajor Barrie and Ibrahim Bah are currently standing trial on two count charges of conspiracy to murder and murder contrary to law.
The prosecution alleges that both accused on Wednesday 17, June 2020 at Spur Road in Freetown conspired with unknown persons and murdered Kadija Madinatu Saccoh.
The class four pupil, who is the eighth persecution witness, yesterday testified in the ongoing murder trial of her younger sister at the Freetown High Court presided over by Justice John Bosco Allieu.
She said the deceased was her sister and recognised the first accused as her aunt and the second accused as son of the 1st accused.
She stated that the deceased was living with the 1st accused before she died.
She stated that before the death of her kid sister, she used to visit her aunt during weekends.
She said during her visit, her aunt would normally leave her and her younger sister in care of their neighbour, whenever she leaves home.
She further testified that one day her aunt sent the second accused to collect her at Congo Town where she went to plait her hair, stating after they went home the second accused asked her to allow him use his fingers to penetrate her with the promise that he will buy her orange, but she rejected.
She said she further told the second accused that she had been beaten for going around boys, stating that the second accused forcefully removed her pant and inserted his fingers into her private part.
She also testified that one day, her aunt asked her to clean up the deceased after using the toilet, but that while doing so, the deceased complained to her that her private part was hurting.
She narrated that she informed the first accused about the issue, but she couldn’t say a word or do anything about it.
