35-years old man jailed for alleged house breaking

Bokarie Kallon has made another appearance before magistrate sahr kekura of Pademba Road Court No1, Freetown.

The accused person was charged to court on two count charges for house breaking and larceny contrary to section 26(1) of the larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of the offense, the accused person on Thursday 4th January 2024, at No 80 Kingston Upon Hull Way Aberdeen, entered into the dwelling house of Jassie Zain Watfa and stole five hundred and twenty five thousand united states dollars (USD 525) equivalent to twelve thousand and seventy five new Leone (Le12, 075) and two thousand three hundred and sixty new Leone (Le2, 360). The total money Bockarie is accused of stealing is fourteen thousand four hundred and thirty five Leones (Le 14,435) property of Jessie Zain Watfa.

On count two on the above date and place, the accused person stole four hundred united states dollars (USD4, 000) equivalent to ninety two thousand Leones (Le92,000) and twenty Three thousand Leones (Le 23,000), amounting to one hundred and fifteen thousand Leones (Le115,000), money belonging to one Jimmy samai.

The matter did not proceed due to absence of the witness.  The Police prosecutor, inspector Sallue Tap requested for a short date for him to bring in his witness to court.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Sahr Kekura refuses bail and adjourned the matter to the 29th May for further hearing.
