Unisa Samura, Richard Maggao and Saidy Kasseh Sesay, made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown.
They were before the court on one count charge of murder contrary to law.
It was alleged that on Wednesday, 27th October, 2022, at Upper George Brook, Dwazark Farm in Freetown, all accused persons murdered Sinneh Koroma
Led in evidence by Sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy, prosecution witness No.3, Sergeant 9739 Christian Nicol, attached to the Criminal Investigations Department at New England Ville Police Station, noted that he knows the complainant and recognized all accused persons in the dock.
The witness recalled on the 27th October, 2021 when a case and enquiry file of murder was transferred to him for further investigations.
She said the file contained the statement of the accused persons, the complainant and his witnesses and that on that same day he went to the Connaught Mortuary to witness the postmortem examination on the deceased.
He narrated that after the postmortem examination, a cause of death certificate was issued to him.
The said certificate was produced and tendered in court.
she said a copy of the certificate was issued to the deceased’s family on the 20th December, 2021.
she said he obtained charge statement from the accused persons separately.
At this juncture , the prosecution sought for a short adjournment date because the witness was not conversant with giving testimony in court.
Magistrate Kekura sent all accused persons to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown and adjourned the matter to the 12th April, 2022.
