XINHUA NEWS team visits Concord Times

A team from the biggest Chinese news agency, Xinhua News Agency, led by the General Manager of the Africa Bureau, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to Concord Times Communications, in a bid to strengthen relationship between the two institutions.

The two institutions entered into a mutual agreement geared towards sharing information of vital importance and the team lead of Xinhua News Agency, Wang Jida, who resides in Nairobi, Kenya, was pleased to have visited Sierra Leone for the first time.

In his brief statement,Mr. Wang noted that they were in the country to acquaint with the Sierra Leone media, evaluate their agency’s  standing and look out for ways to improving on their relationship and presence in Sierra Leone.

Welcoming the team, Manager of Concord Times Communications, Ehis Ighobor, said the institution was willing to working with Xinhua News Agency, stating that the relationship would be of immense importance to the growth of his newspaper.

The team, which included the General Manager, Wang Zida and Alice Zhao, was accompanied by Xinhua News stringer in Sierra Leone, Mohamed Samoura.
