VERITAS secures international partnership

One of Sierra Leone’s highly rated Chartered Accountancy firms providing multi-disciplinary services to local and international organisations, VERITAS, has on 6th November, 2017 entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Ernest &Young (EY) to jointly provide curtain edge solutions to their respective clients in Sierra Leone.

Reading a press statement on Wednesday to a cross-section of the media at their Wallace-Johnson Street office in Freetown, Managing Partner of VERITAS Dr.Claudius Williams–Tucker, said under the terms of the agreement the two institutions would jointly provide advisory and other services, co-operation and assistance as may be required, ensure the availability of capable personnel to assist each other in the preparation of bids/proposals, discussions and negotiations with clients directed towards obtaining the award of engagement contracts.

He said VERITAS would be serving as EY’s correspondent in Sierra Leone, adding that the agreement is a testament of the strategic relationship between the two organisations.

According to the agreement, the two organisations shall be deemed independent and each party will afford the other party’s reasonable opportunity to review the form and content of any bid/proposal or engagement and ensure that the scope of service is adequately reflected.

The parties agree to develop turnkey solutions to meet the growing needs and demands of all EY global clients operating in Sierra and simultaneously identify and developing client opportunities for co-operation.

Dr. Tucker expressed his delight working with EY to provide fully supported cliencentric solutions to their mutual clients in Sierra Leone and to make a difference in service delivery which the market needs.

Kwado Mpeani Brantuo, Partner in EY Ghana Practice, who signed on behalf of the organisation, said that the agreement was a significant step forward in their effort to enter the Sierra Leone market and support businesses of their global clients.

Country leader of EY Ghana Practice, Ferdinard Gunn said he was very impressed with the organisation and management of VERITAS, the reason he said made them an obvious partnership choice in Sierra Leone.
