President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mrs. Isha Johansen and the Football Association’s Technical Director, John Jobbor Sherrighton will both attend a three-day Member Associations and Development Seminar organized by football world governing body, FIFA.
The seminar will be hosted in Johannesburg, South Africa later this week and will attract top officials from the other 27 African countries.
The session, which is for FA Presidents, General Secretaries and Technical Directors, will see participants gather at the Sandton Sun Hotel in South Africa’s commercial and economic capital.
According to the letter of invitation from FIFA, the seminar will focus primarily on topics such as information on the FIFA governance reforms; new regulations governing development programmes; FIFA development programmes and services for member associations; CAF development programmes (Club Licensing) and; co-operation between FIFA and CAF.
Delegates are expected from Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Angola, Botswana, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Liberia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Libya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The seminar will commence on Wednesday and runs through Thursday and Friday.
