Sierra Leone Players Abroad:

Lansana Kamara makes Umeå FC debut

Sierra Leonean midfielder, Lansana Kamara, made his debut for Swedish side Umeå FC in their 1-1 draw with IFK Luleå in a warm-up match.

Kamara, who started the match really well, came up against his former FC Kallon teammate Ibrahim Kallay, who played for IFK Luleå. Kamara had a good debut, winning a lot of play directing and setting the tempo of the team.

In Azerbaijan, midfielder Samuel Barlay replaced Kasradze in the 85th minute in his side, AZAL’s 2-1 away defeat to Neftçi.

In the English Championship, striker Kei Kamara was left out of Middlesbrough’s goalless draw away to AFC Bournemouth, while Mohamed ‘Medo’ Kamara played full time in Bolton Wanderers’ 0-2 home defeat suffered to Brighton & Hove Albion.

In the English League One, Mustapha Dumbuya’s Notts County suffered a 3-2 away defeat to Tranmere Rovers. The Sierra Leone international right-back, who was playing his second match since returning from a lengthy injury, played for 85 minutes before he was replaced by McGregor.

In China, Gibril Sankoh played full-time for Henan Jianye in their goalless draw with Changchun Yatai. Also, midfielder Rodney Strasser played full time in Reggina’s 1-4 home defeat to Crotone.

In Greece, Aziz Deen Conteh was an unused sub as his Ergotelis side secured a 2-3 away victory against Asteras Tripolis.

In the Turkish League One, midfielder Khalifa Jabbie played full time for Balıkesirspor on his return to first team action in their 1-1 home draw with Ankaraspor. Another Sierra Leonean Alfred Sankoh also featured for 90 minutes before he was replaced by Yazici as his side, Şanlıurfaspor won 3-4 away to 1461 Trabzon.
