Sierra Leone wheelchair table tennis player, George Windham fears he could miss the forthcoming wheelchair tennis competition in the United States of America.

Windham, who recently competed in another championship in China, fears he could not secure sponsorship in time for the tournament as he is yet to get any update from key sponsors, Mercury International.

“I am running out of time now because I am yet to get words from Mercury International who are my key sponsors. Also, the current situation in the country is another problem and am afraid I could not make it because of the Ebola virus fear,” Windham said.

The right-hander is expected to travel for the tournament during the early week of December, but according to him, failure to attend will not deter his spirit.

He said: “Missing out will not affect me that much but my ranking will reduce and I will definitely feel disappointed. Nevertheless I will go on with my training session and do my best to be in a frame shape for the 2015 calendar year.”
