President of the Sierra Leone Wrestling Association, Prince Vandy Sualley, has been appointed as president of the Zone II Wrestling Federation.
Sualley’s appointment came after the just-concluded Confederations of Africa des Luttes Association (CALA) meeting in Morocco.
The new Zone II Wrestling Federation boss, in an exciting mood, told Concord Sports that he is ready to work with his colleagues to help improve the sport within his region.
He said: “I am proud to be appointed as the Zone II president; this is great news for Sierra Leone and I’m grateful to the Zone II countries for naming me as their president. I will work very hard to see progress in the region. My first task will be meeting with member associations where we can brainstorm and share ideas to help the region move forward.”
He added: “For us to achieve our goal we must work as a team and I, together with the others, can make the sport very big in the region.”
The Zone II countries under Sualley’s region are: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Ghana and Cape Verde.
