Premier League clubs are currently racing against time to complete their registration to beat the January 10th, 2019 deadline date.
With two days to go, only East End Tigers out of the 13 clubs, who have confirmed their participation, has completed its registration ahead of the deadline day.
However, Alhaji Komba, the media and Communications Officer of the Sierra Leone Premier League Board believes the clubs will still beat the deadline of their registration.
“The clubs are already on their finishing points and we even hope to receive few registrations today. I believe they will all meet the deadline,” Komba said as he dismissed any talks of possible extension.
An earlier release from the Board reads that: “The final deadline date for registration of all eligible Premier League clubs and their respective players is Thursday 10th January 2019.”
“The PLB secretariat is open for the business daily and if any club need legal assistance or help for their registration as a company, the Chairman of the Board can be readily contacted.”
“Meanwhile, the said registration is on-going despite the yuletide brake at the SLFA Secretariat. The PLB secretariat is opened for business daily and that if any club needs legal assistance or help for the registration as a company, the Chairman of the Board can be readily contacted.”
However, the planned kick-off date for the 2018/2019 Premier League season is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2019.
