Police investigate Le800m theft at Skye Bank

Confirmed sources at the Criminal Investigation Department has disclosed to Concord Times that they were investigating four staff at Skye Bank and three private security officers from the Pendrax Security Agency on allegation of theft at the Bank.

According to the source, Le.823, 832,200 was allegedly stolen at the Bank’s head office located on Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown.

The source  however refused to disclose the names of the staff that were under investigations, but stated that one of the Pendrax security personnel that was allegedly involved in the racketeering, was on the run.

Meanwhile, the receptionist at Skye Bank who refused to disclose her name, confirmed to this medium that huge quantum of money was missing, but could  not allow  our reporter access to interview the Managing Director of the bank, when requested.

She however stated that the Bank cannot comment on the matter as investigation was in progress.
