Chief Marketing Officer of Orange Sierra Leone, Laurent Marie Kiba, yesterday disclosed to a presser that the company has offered seven days unlimited calls to its customers across the country.
According to Kiba, customers who want to use the Kola offer can subscribe and enjoy unlimited Orange to Orange calls for 48hrs till midnight the next day, starting from 23rd to 29 October, 2017.
He stated that the offer was part of the traditional practices in Africa that, when a stranger arrives s/he must greet and present Kola nut to the natives.
The Marketing Officer said since the inception of Orange, they have been trying to understand the needs of their customers and connect them to the company.
“Our aim is to give to our customers what is really essential in their lives and relevant to them. That is why we would continue to engage the media so that we would get their concerns. We want to make communication relatively cheap for our customers,” he said.
He thanks the hundreds of subscribers that converged at the National stadium over the weekend and stated that similar showbiz would also be staged in Makeni and Bo with the local artists next Saturday.
He said Orange takes transparency to the highest esteem, hence they have introduced per second billing and that top ups are safe in phones.
Earlier, Chief Executive Officer of Organge, Sekou Drame, said their customer care services was very effective, and that they were working hand in glove in ensuring that customers can send and receive Orange money out of the country.
“Orange is working hard to ensure that subscribers can send and receive Orange money abroad. This service will come very soon but it would be under the supervision of Bank of Sierra Leone,” he assured.
Ask whether they would remove the voice reminder that interrupts during calls, the CEO said it was the best practice to remind subscribers, but they would try as best as possible for the reminder to come only once.
