Minister of Sports Paul Kamara and president of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mrs. Isha Johansen on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the installation of an artificial turf at the National Stadium in Freetown.
According to the SLFA’s head of Media and Marketing, John Konteh, the installation of an artificial turf at the National Stadium “will definitely have good impact in the country’s football”.
He said having a better pitch will help the players and also the country’s national team to produce good results, adding that the national teams have suffered in the past because of a bad pitch.
Details of the MoU, he said, will be revealed later.
