Mantrac Sierra Leone Ltd, the sole authorised dealer for Caterpillar products, yesterday hosted a conference to sensitise the business community about their capability in offering power solutions to companies.
Speaking during the conference at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown, Managing Director Vincent Balogun said the aim of the meeting was for participants to have in mind and plan in budget low cost and efficient power solutions for their institutions and companies.
He stated that his company has operated in the country for over 70 years, adding that they distribute mining, power systems and forklifts, material-handling and warehousing equipment for a wide range of industries and applications.
“We are her to propose to you the least economic way to generate power. We are known in this country as the sole dealer for Caterpillar products. We recognised our responsibility of developing the nation and we are complementing the government’s ‘Agenda for Prosperity’,” he said. “We are proposing power solutions that can match your expectations.”
Also speaking, representative from Mantrac Group, Sheriff Shabani, explained that they currently have presence in ten (10) countries around the world, adding, “We are one of the top three Caterpillar dealers in the world.”
Chairman of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Energy and Power, Hon. Bliss Osho-Williams, while giving the keynote address commended Mantrac for what they have been able to achieve over the years, and assured them of his Committee’s determination to work closely with them to achieve their aim.
Presentations on Power Solutions, Product Support and Financial Proposition, as well as comments, questions and answers from participants formed the highlight of the conference.
