Tejan-Sie asks that tow judges be recused
March 5, 2018 By Regina Pratt
Defense counsel for the 6th defendants in the matter involving David Fornah versus Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yunkella and others, Lawyer Suliaman Banja Tejan-Sie, has on Friday asked that that two of the five judges be recused from the matter.
Lawyer Tejan-Sie could not however state any reason or mention the names of the two judges that should be removed from the sitting, but in most cases judges are asked to recuse from a matter on the grounds of bias.
He made the objection on Friday March 2nd before a panel of five judges including Hon. Justice Browne-Marke, Hon. Justice Vivian Solomon, Hon. Justice Eku Roberts, Hon. Justice Nyawoh Jones and Hon. Justice Glena Thompson.
In response, Hon. Justice Browne-Marke adjourned the court for few minutes and called both counsels to the chamber.
He however ordered lawyer Banja Tejan-Sie to present his objection in writing as against Monday, March 5th, 2018.
The matter was adjourned to Monday March 5, 2018.
