FF Fredrikstad and Sierra Leone midfielder, Khalifa Jabbie, has agreed terms with Turkish league 1 side Balikesirspor.
Jabbie, who made his debut for Fredrikstad away against Aalesund in March 21, 2011, played a total of 51 Premier League matches and scored 3 goals before leaving the Norwegian league side for Turkey.
“We wish Jabbie luck in Turkey, and thank him for the work he has put in FFK. We have come to know a wonderful person who we wish all the best for the future both on and off the field,” says FFK Geir Bakken.
Jabbie joined Fredrikstad in January 2011, when he had just turned 18. He quickly established himself in midfield and played many good matches in his first season in the Premier League.
The midfielder said: “I’m really looking forward to new challenges and a slightly warmer climate. I want to thank the club for the time I’ve had here, thanks to all I have come to know, and not least for the way the club has helped me with this transition.”
This season, the 20-year-old was involved in 19 matches in Adecco League, 14 from the start and eight league cup games. However he failed to score in any of those matches.
