As the criminal sessions of the High Court closes on Friday, 16 November, Justice John Bosco Allieu yesterday granted an application submitted by the Director of Public Prosecution for murder matters to be heard in a special criminal session during the closed session.
Justice Allieu granted the application after State Prosecutor Joan M.S. Bull made the application for murder matters in his court to be tried in a special criminal session.
Notable among the murder matters that would be continued in the High Court during the closed criminal session are the murder trial of Hannah Bockarie, who was allegedly murdered at Aberdeen Beach in 2015, and Patrick Bangura who the prosecution say was murdered at Upper Tengbeh Town in 2016.
