FA Cup: Old Edwardians to face E.E Lions in round 16

 In form Old Edwardians FC will face East End Lions FC in the all premiership clash in round 16 of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) LEOCEM sponsored FA Cup tournament.

The two premier league clubs will face each other as they seek for a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament and Old Edwardians coach, Amadu Freaky Koroma, said he is looking forward to the match.

He said: “It is going to be an interesting match and I am looking forward to it. Lions are a very good team with lot of talents, but we must focus on our own game.”

The other draw feature first division side Dallarosa taking on premier league giant FC Kallon, while another all premier league action will see Bo Rangers taking on FC Johansen. First division revelation side, Real Mack FC will face Freetown City FC and Grassfield will host Kamboi Eagles.

Al- Thababan of Makeni will host Sunday Foundation whilst one of the tournament favourites, Edmond Michael Foundation will take on Geoma Jargoh and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Force (RSLAF FC) will host Kholifa Stars.

According to Director of Competition, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, the round of 16 will be played on a knock-out basis as they seek the last eight of the tournament.

He said: “The tournament have produced some surprise since it started few weeks back. The likes of Ports Authority and Mighty Blackpool have all failed to reach the last 16 of the tournament.”
