Easy Solar Company Sierra Leone limited has brought affordable and accessible solar electricity system to light every household across the country.

Giving a brief background of the company on Saturday, Western Area Territory Sales Manager, Edward Ansu Kallon said Easy Solar started operations three years ago by three young men-all below the ages of 35, who met in the University of London and agreed to invest in electricity.

He stated that after several meetings and surveys, they agreed to invest in Sierra Leone-a country in their estimation that was completely in power outage at the time.

He told the gathering on Saturday that the company has spread its tentacles across the country with the exception of Kenema and Kailahun districts, which were yet to get the products.

“We have not only helped to cushion the unemployment rate in the country, but also electrified the country with affordable and accessible electricity in every household. We cater for the least person in the last village. Our head office is on NO.48 Kroo Town Road in Freetown. It is open from Monday to Friday,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hon. Alusine K. Alu-Conteh of Constituency 125 commended Easy Solar system for establishing their head office in his community and added that his Constituency was struggling with intermittent power supply and that the coming of Easy Solar would rejuvenate the already collapsed electricity system in the country.

“There is an intermittent power supply in my Constituency and other communities in Freetown. We are very happy that they have established their head office in our constituency. We hope that it would not only provide employment but also electricity,” he said.

He urged the company to do proper advertisement as solar electricity was a novelty to lots of people in the country.

He stated that his Constituency is a business oriented community and that most of them would be in need of electricity, which he believes Easy Solar system would provide.

He also admonished the company not to joke with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), especially in the area of education, keeping the city clean and maintaining the peace, which according to him were the most demanding issues in the country.

However, the Mende tribal head and scribe for councils of the tribal heads told the gathering that the company shouldn’t joke with their CRS as solar electricity system would produce a good health environment than the generator.

“I urge the company to be accepting part payment as there are several solar systems in the country. He noted that the company shouldn’t throw ball on another solar company as they would help them to avert if they decide to argue with them,” he noted.

Also, the Officer Commanding the Adelaide Street police station, Gloria Edwards welcomed the Easy Solar System in the country and urged them to remain independent in their job.

However, Precious Conteh of Easy Solar system noted that the company has six types of products including pro light, pro light, mobile charging plus, home bundle, home bomba and home bumba TV plus.

He said all the various bundles have different prizes and that monthly/weekly payments were also available for every sector in the community.

“We have pro light product, pro p-lus, home bundle, home plus bundle and home bundle TV which are going for a very reasonable prices. Part payments for the products are also available,” he said.
